| Combining inventiveness with pure talent, Mrs. Young's Masque and Gavel Club scored highly in first year contests and entertainment. Mrs. Young and members of her group could be found improvising, writing, speaking, and decorating almost every night after school. Motivation was the key as "I Hate To Give Advice, But..." given in April was strictly an individualized effort of the group; the comment on current topics using comic-strip characters was even written by two members, David Robinson and Gary Weir. |
