| Practicing in North's fantastic swimming pool paid off for the Titan Tankers as they waterlogged their opponents nine time while only losing three matches. Coach Terry Hitchcock's swimmers proved real strength in a three way meet with Bellmont and Yorktown when they piled up 95 points against the combined total of losers' 73. Some area experts and spectators have forecast great things in store for the team as well as certain individuals. Olympic potential was the observation of some as they witnessed the power of the Titans. Bill Gruppe was named Outstanding Freshman Swimmer, and Chip Alexander was the Sophomore Outstanding Swimmer. Three juniors, Charles Cross, Frank Eavey, and Gary Leff, shared outstanding honors. |
